Tour Description

Possibly the best combination of birding spots in Costa Rica. All morning to look for the specialties of the northwestern pacific side inthe Tropical Dry Forest of Santa Rosa. Forty-five minutes later a different environment surround us, fantastic colorful birds like motmots, tanagers, euphonias and toucans are the highlights of the valley between Rincon de la Vieja and Cacao Volcanoes.

Suggested Itinerary

Pick up time: Usually around 5 am depending of hotel´s location

Birding Santa Rosa National Park : 6:15 am – 8:30 am Birding in the trails and roadside

8:30 am - 9:15 am Boxed breakfast: Fruit, yogurt and juice

Birding Santa Rosa National Park : 9:15 am – 10:45 am Birding in the trails and roadside

12 pm - 1 pm Typical Lunch

Birding Curubanda Lodge : 1 pm – 3:45 pm Birding in the gardens and trails

4:00 pm Depart towards resort
